Scott Shu-kun Cao is listed among the best-known contemporary violin makers in the world. His instruments are currently in the hands of soloists, famous professional players and collectors. For their tonal quality, Scott's instruments are renowned. Among makers, Scott's violins are said to not only project a beautiful sound but are also aesthetically superior.  Many world famous players have plaid or own an instrument of the master !



Scott Cao launched also a factory manufacturing process.  Unlike most factory made instruments, Scott Cao's models are fully hand carved by a group of skilled makers trained by Scott Cao's students. These instruments feature carved scroll, carved tops, back arching and beautifully applied hand-painted varnish. These instruments are graduated by hand and finished according to the specifications of the traditional style. Due to the fine tone, pleasing appearance, and competitive price, they make excellent instruments for beginner and schools.
 

We highly recommend you to change the original strings to a complete set of Pirastro Evah Pirazzi or Thomastik Dominant strings, they will really increase the sound quality, giving a more powerful and rich sound (buy those strings in the same time than the instrument and ask us to mount the strings on the violin before shipping).
