Innovation double bass strings fill the void between the  traditional gut string and more modern steel strings. They have a solid  fundament and middling sustain. The unique non-metallic core holds its  pitch and is almost unaffected by climatic changes.

Those strings are available per set of 4 strings (E, A, D and G).  They are made in the United Kingdom.



Several versions are available : 

• Rockabilly 140RB : sound great for rockabilly and slap (stranded nylon core black nylon tape wound, medium tension)
• Honey Hybrid 140H : recommended for pizzicato jazz, suitable for arco as well (solid nylon core chrome tape wound, medium tension)
• Braided 140B : recommended for arco play, full orchestral sound (braided nylon core chrome tape wound, medium tension)
• Super Silver 140SS : the synthetic alternative to gut, great for bluegrass (braided synthetic core clear nylon tape wound, medium tension)
• Silver Slap 140SLP : slightly lighter gauge and tension than Super Silver, overall a  softer string (braided synthetic core clear nylon tape wound, low  tension)
• Psycho-Slap 140PSP : low tension but thicker gauge for ultra fast slapping (stranded nylon core clear nylon tape wound, low tension)
• Ultra Black 140UB : full and dark sound, great for jazz (stranded nylon core black nylon tape wound, medium-high tension)

All  of the Innovation strings do not contain any ferrous materials ; they  are not suitable for use with a magnetic pickup. They will work with  all typical piezo-based pickups.  7/8 size that fits both 3/4 and 4/4 double basses.
