Slide models :
Standard 88H Regular slide originally sold with 8H, 88H and 52H series tenor trombones. Simple slide without interchangeable leadpipes.
525/547 Medium-Large dual bore slide combines a medium bore 0.525" upper tube with a large bore 0.547" lower tube. Designed to increase focus and clarity in the upper register while increasing stamina. Good choice for the principal symphonic or concert band player. Leadpipes include models X, H and T (more details regarding leadpipes below).
547/547 Standard Large bore (0.547") slide traditionally found on 8H/88H series trombones. This model features three removable leadpipes for increased versatility. Leadpipes include models S, R and M (more details regarding leadpipes below).
547/562 Large dual-bore slide combines a traditional large bore (0.547") upper tube with a bass trombone bore (0.562") lower tube. This popular model gives a more open feel, decreases focus somewhat, and reduces "edge" in loud passages. Includes three interchangeable leadpipes, model S, R and M (more details regarding leadpipes below).
Leadpipes :
- X : Features a large shank receiver with a straight taper designed for great flexibility. This hybrid design allows you to use your existing large shank mouthpiece in a medium bore slide that would normally only accept a small shank mouthpiece.
- H : Features a standard small shank receiver with a short venturi pipe for a combination of flexibility and control.
- T : Features a standard small shank receiver with a long venturi for greater control (i.e. "slotting").
- R : Features a Remington shank receiver with a standard venturi taper. Designed to give traditional response when used with a Remington shank mouthpiece.
- M : Features a standard large shank receiver with a longer taper than normal. Designed to decrease resistance.
- S : Features a standard large shank receiver with a standard venturi taper. Designed to give traditional response characteristics.
